Reviews Summary

Munaycha Restaurant is a popular choice for travelers visiting Machu Picchu, praised for its generous portions of delicious Peruvian food and friendly, English-speaking staff. Many diners found it to be a perfect meal after hiking the Inca Trail. While the food is generally well-received, some note it as acceptable for a tourist town, with varying opinions on specific dishes like alpaca skewers. The ambiance, particularly the view from the second floor, and the proximity to train tracks are also highlighted.

"We ate here right after completing the 4 day trek on the Inca trail and it was everything I had been looking forward too after so much hiking/camping. All the portions were huge; we shared the ceviche starter between two people and each got an entree: trout and rack of lamb. And a pisco sour did not disappoint!"

Kate Tafelski

"A quick and easy lunch place to visit after your Machu Picchu visit and waiting for the train back. We originally was going to get some drinks but the food looked really good. Got the ceviche and the chicharrones. The ceviche was very fresh and delightful while the chicharrones and crispy on the outside and tender in the inside.

Our server was great as well. Very attentive and quick to get our orders in and drinks. A lovely place to sit outside and enjoy a nice lunch."

"We came here as a large group after hiking the Inca trail for 4 days so were all starving.
A lot of pizzas and burgers were ordered.

The server Dennis was friendly and helpful although limited in English, but he did warn us up front. It did not cause any issues.

The food was good but not amazing. Frozen lemonade with red berries was nice and refreshing.

They had karaoke on the 2nd floor.

It's a tourist town with a captured market so expect a markup Vs other areas of Peru."
