Last year, my parents and I had the opportunity to visit this well known Italian restaurant in Baguio called Amare La Cucina. We ordered what you can usually find in an Italian restaurant and their food did not disappoint. Thank goodness as well that they have branches in the Metro already. So if you are craving for Amare La Cucina, it's already easy to visit their restaurant in the Metro. #amarel...

Reviews Summary

Diners consistently praise Amare La Cucina for its authentic wood-fired pizzas and unique flavor combinations, complemented by a cozy ambiance. While many rave about the food quality and attentive service, some have noted minor issues with service efficiency and occasional confusion regarding dietary accommodations.

"A Must-Visit Every Time We’re in the City!
We had a great experience dining at this restaurant—definitely a must-visit whenever we’re in town. The food quality was excellent, and the portions were just right for the price. My mom especially loved it, which says a lot! As of our visit on June 15, 2025, this place is officially a go-to spot for our family. Highly recommended!"

"Great food, service and atmosphere!

All of the food we ordered were well cooked and seasoned. It doesn't have that much umami.
My only concern for the food is that the garlic mushroom pizza we ordered didn't taste much garlicky at all.

Service could use some improvement.
We were sat at the far end of the veranda area. And I had to go inside just to call the attention of the waitresses.

The veranda area is really good for the view. But we can smell some of the smoke from the pizza oven."

"We had our breakfast here arriving from a night drive coming from Laguna. All we had tasted superb. We had the breakfast platter, pasta and coffee. They served complementary bread & dip and their brewed coffee can be refilled for free. Unfortunately we hadn't tried any of their pizzas as they weren't making it yet on that early hours of the day. Service was good. We were seated at the veranda area and staff were standing there and attentive. Pets are allowed, though a table next to ours had a small dog sniffing my legs while we were eating and that annoyed me. The handler didn't even made an excuse. Hope they set some rules about pets to make sure it won't bother other dining customers. Still we'll surely come back again soon."

Restaurants in Baguio to Check Out

After years trying to get hired as a nurse abroad, Edmark Bustos decided to put his money where his mouth is—and that was in making Neapolitan pizzas in a traditional brick oven. The wood-fired pugon is the first thing that greets you as you enter Amare La Cucina, which means “to love the kitchen." The chefs—all former farmers from Quezon who received retraining from Ed—expertly toss pizza dough for all to see. Taking off from traditional pizza flavors, Ed has come up with unique creations such as the delectable Foie Gras Pizza with Truffle Oil (P580) and Lamb Pizza with Alfalfa Sprouts (P480). For vegetarians, he created the Roasted Garlic and Mushroom Pizza (P430), a margherita-based pizza that uses garlic that's been roasted for hours in the brick oven. To not waste the oven’s intense heat, Wood-Fired Ribs (P355) were added to the menu.
