Reviews Summary

Diners rave about the spectacular mountain views, cozy ambiance, and the exceptional quality of food, especially the crispy bagnet and Filipino specialties. While service is generally praised for attentiveness, some reviews mention minor issues like the timing of food delivery or delays in billing. The challenging parking is often cited as a minor inconvenience.

"Always warm, homey & country cozy at Forest House… callos is still my favorite and the cutesy notes for personal touch! Very Baguio… always start with the soup bread for legit Forest House experience!"

"Thank you James for the great service! You made our lunch very satisfied! The food is so great!"

"We were looking for a restaurant near Marcos Highway far from the Baguio city proper. We wanted to eat somewhere quiet and relaxed for a change. Other than the difficulty with parking, we enjoyed our dining experience in this restaurant.

Our servers have been very attentive and friendly. The only thing i would recommend for them to improve is to avoid the use of single-use plastic straws.

As for the food quality, I enjoyed my Hainanese chicken. It was cooked well. They had several drinks but unfortunately their shakes are unavailable because they ran out of ice.

They accept cash, gcash, and credit card payments. The view outside the dining area was also nice. Unfortunately, it's been raining so it is a bit wet to eat outside.

The dining area can get loud as the space is small. They also have free WiFi in available."

For the weary traveler, it becomes a refuge from the hustle and bustle of busy city streets, for the dissenting palate, it is a journey from familiar tastes to creative concoctions, and for the Baguio resident it is a proud landmark for having the distinction of being one of the Philippine Tattler's best dining places. Through the years the age-old bagnet has remained its top seller either as an "appeteaser" or as a main course along with staples of American, Japanese, Filipino and Korean dishes on the regular menu.

New Baguio Tourist Spots to Visit: Yangco, Seollem + More

A Baguio institution, Forest House, was forced to close in the early part of the pandemic. In order to continue to support the livelihood of their staff—many of whom had been with them for most of their 19 years of operation, co-owner Raquel Verzosa, started a food delivery service called Raquel’s Cuisine by Forest House. They prepared some of Forest House’s bestsellers and had them delivered to people’s doors during the lockdown period.

Travelers look forward to heavenly food in Baguio

Forest House is one of the prettiest restaurants in Baguio City due to its country home atmosphere with display sunflowers and comfy couches. It would be good enough to get a seat inside the restaurant, but I personally prefer eating at the terrace where you have a view of the city skyline.
