What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Chika-an sa Cebu is praised for its authentic Filipino comfort food and welcoming ambiance, often highlighted by its famous crispy pata and generous portions, making it ideal for gatherings. However, some diners have noted issues with portion sizes for the price, slow service, and occasionally dry or incorrectly prepared dishes, leading to a mixed experience regarding value and consistency.
"Our go to place for home-cooked Pinoy foods.
The place has an inviting atmosphere and dishes that highlight traditional flavors.
Service was attentive without being intrusive, enhancing the overall experience.
For anyone looking to delve into authentic local cuisine, Chika-an is the place that won’t disappoint."

"Honestly, the food tastes okay, but the portions are ridiculously small for the price. The servings barely feed one person. I’ve had better meals elsewhere for only ₱100 with even bigger portions.
Most of the dishes here are seriously overpriced considering how little you get. It feels like you’re paying for group-sized meals, but the servings are only enough for one or two people.
The chicken was also a huge letdown — dry and overcooked.
They advertise unlimited rice, but it takes forever to get a refill. By the time the rice arrives, you’ve already lost your appetite. I ended up eating more rice just to fill my stomach because the portions of the viands are so small.
What’s worse, there weren’t even many customers when we visited, but the food still took almost an hour to be served.
Overall, the food tastes decent, but it’s really not worth the price or the wait. No wonder the place was almost empty when I came. Definitely won’t be recommending this to anyone."
