What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sambo Kojin offers a diverse Japanese and Korean buffet experience that many find to be good value for money. While the variety of food is often praised, several reviews highlight significant concerns regarding cleanliness and pest issues, specifically cockroaches and the presence of worms in food, alongside a noticeable old smell in the establishment. The staff's responsiveness to these issues has also been a point of contention for some diners.
"Actually cheap by common buffet measures, good value for money"

"AWFUL SMELL AND BABY COCKROACHES.
When you first come in, there is an apparent stench. My boyfriend said it smelled like dog but it was smellier than that. It was obvious that they do not clean as it was the whole building. We almost decided not to eat because of the awful smell but it was a late bday celebration for my brother. The chairs are worn down. The glasses don't seem clean and full of sebum.
After almost finishing our food, I saw baby COCKROACHES multiple times just next to our table. If it wasn't for the fast service of the staff I wouldn't have rated this at all. Food was fine, variety of selection. My only concern would be the food safety because of the smell and lack of cleanliness. It would've been 5/5 if they actually cleaned up the place and replace the old furnitures."

"Food and staff service are okay but the place could use some interior improvements and additional exhaust for better air flow.
Making reservations is very easy and they are responsive even on Facebook. The Japanese food section was a highlight for me, especially the generous servings of fresh salmon sashimi. Unfortunately, they really need to improve the place for a better eating environment."
