My senses were reeling from the moment we stepped in from the heat and traffic along Rizal Road. Local artwork covered walls, courtyards and the rear gallery but more than that, the owners have a flair for design. Inlaid stones formed arches and flowed over walls.

_KaLui is an art gallery garden with attractive dark wood/bamboo floors and furniture. We realized too late that we would have preferred to eat near the water with a view of the city’s beach/bay. Still, KaLui is worth a visit.

And why I barely touched the stingray served at KaLui restaurant. My tastebuds aren’t bold enough. My tastebuds don’t like anything they are not used to.
