"Shakey's was pretty average, all things considered. We ate a 9" truffle greens pizza and a tuna caesar salad, both of which we shared. We found there to be a weird flavour to the bread dough of the pizza which we have since discovered must have been the "truffle" in the name. It's not entirely pleasant so I don't recommend trying their truffle items. The pizza itself was their "famous thin" style which they have been making since 1969. Not trying to be clever but the base of the pizza was solid so it was as if it had been made in 1969. It genuinely cracked when you bit it, like a big crisp. So it really felt like no other pizza I have ever eaten. The caesar salad was a bit too sweet so it felt a bit sugary. Nonetheless we finished the food and it was OK. Probably would not rush back."
