"This is an amazing place, with very good quality pizza in a VERY BUSY spot.
People need to understand that because of the location , it is normal to be busy and sometimes the service to not be that quick.
You have to be patient if you want good food or you can go to the empty restaurants around the corner.
We came in 3 times, pizza was amazing! The wine and lemonades were very good.

"We didn’t understand that in Poland many people skip lunch, and get off work between 2-3pm, and then have lunch at 4 pm. Not knowing this cultural aspect yet, we were surprised it was packed at 4 pm for late lunch. We were seated in a tiny corner on the second floor. Ostro is located in one of the cute vertical merchant homes on the waterfront and eating on one of the small floors is part of the charm. The waitress was very friendly and kind and our Napoletana wood fired pizzas came quickly. The Margherita pizzas were fragrant and flavorful with the basil and right on the money like you get in Naples, except maybe a bit too much tomato sauce. We ordered the cannoli for desert and the lemon ricotta filling was superb. The shell was not like traditional cannoli in Naples, as it was too rigid, but the filling made up for it. I also had the raspberry lemonade and wowza it was tart and fabulous! Best dining experience we had in Gdansk."

"We were queuing outside with only a handful of other people. Some waiters were running around, but not all. No one bothered to inform us about the wait time or give any updates. After about 10 minutes, a waiter appeared and spoke to the family in front of us, suggesting a table. He told them to wait and then disappeared to clean a recently vacated table.
Five minutes later, he returned to inform that family the wait time would be one hour, but he didn’t share this information with anyone else in the queue.
Considering the pizzeria advertises that their pizzas are baked in just 60–90 seconds, this was hard to believe. The one star I’m leaving is for the complete lack of communication and the poor service given to those waiting outside.

Pizza itself wqs amazing. Especially the pepperoni one. Diavola very good too! Skip the pistachio dessert as its not worth it.
Atmosphere inside is so so. The music is completely random and not keeping you in mood for a premium food but rather ordinary place.
