Epitomizing the new ‘live-work-play’ urban model, you find Elektrownia inside a vast former power station whose huge interiors have been given a spectacular reboot to leave it filled with on-trend stores and no shortage of food and drink options. Flashing with neon amid the industrial ephemera, the food hall is a multi-ethnic extravaganza and complimented by the presence of more bona fide sit-down restaurants such as Niewinni Czarodzieje 2.0 (the creation of Poland’s biggest media celebrity, Kuba Wojewódzki). Though hamstrung by Covid, this summer just gone did much to show the eventual potential of this game-changing social hub – already excellent, expect it to get even better once life becomes more… normal.

It’s built within the compound of an old power plant and walking through you can still see the old circuit breakers, metalwork, blinking lights, and bits and bobs of the old electronic factory. But as Warsaw likes to do, it took a soviet-era piece of machinery and turned it into a modern marvel. Inside there are many of your favorite shops and restaurants to choose from, but the best part is the bars that have great happy hour deals and a great vibe that will make the boujee millennials want to hang out all night long.

Elektrownia Powiśle is a historic power plant that has been around for over 100 years and was opened in 1904 and used to power the city of Warsaw. The power plant has internal memories left from WWII, such as bullet holes that were left and can be seen in some of the structural portions of the steel beams. Elektrownia Powiśle has now been completely renovated into shops, restaurants, a hotel, offices and by far the coolest and most Instagrammable washroom I have ever seen.

Hala Koszyki, Hala Gwardii, Elektrownia Powiśle, Norblin Factory and Browary Warszawskie are different in terms of food options , location, and tenant-mix, but the common success factor is the communities that they create. Being in line with the idea of the 15-min city, they become the social hearts of neighbourhoods. Without this sense of “Community”, retail and mixed-use projects with food halls as new anchors would quickly become irrelevant.

This revitalized power plant has become a trendy spot for dining, shopping, and entertainment. With a variety of restaurants and food stands offering diverse cuisines, Elektrownia Powiśle is a culinary hotspot perfect for lunch with a twist. Elektrownia Powiśle is a unique shopping and service complex that emerged in 2020 after the revitalization of a historic power plant building. It offers not only standard shopping but also unusual and exclusive salons, such as the second-hand store Chosen By, Paprocki & Brzozowski, or the tailor-made suit salon Kraviec. Description: Elektrownia Powiśle is a very popular food hall and mall that is perhaps my favorite in the city. It is located in the former site of a power plant, and its revitalization has created a booming food court with many good food options. The food court is open with high ceilings, multiple bars, and open and social seating.

Food Hall – Elektrownia Powiśle – The shopping mall has a modern food hall that has enough restaurants to fill all desires here. You can get pizzas, Calabasas, Thai food, Vietnamese, French fries, beer, cocktails, you name it!. There is plenty of seating inside, but they also have a great seating area outside.

A unique spot is Elektrownia Powiśle, the power plant that supplied electricity to Warsaw for a century and which is now a place for fine dining, shopping, and other leisure activities. It is home to a wide variety of restaurants and bars, with menus featuring international dishes as well as nightclubs.

Nadwiślański Świt is an easy going restaurant with European cuisine. Its quite popular so its probably a good idea to have a reservation (Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 31/33 Street, phone: +48 733 185 812). The same about Kafe Zielony Niedźwiedź as this place is a more fancy restaurant.

Like Hala Koszyki, Elektrownia Powiśle has a long history dating back to 1904. As suggested by the name, the hall was not always a culinary destination. In fact, it was once among Poland’s largest power plants, and it played a pivotal role during the Warsaw Uprising.

The former Elektrownia Powisle power station, located near the Vistula River, is now a shopping center with boutique shops and restaurants. In and around the factory there are cozy terraces where you can go for a drink and bite.

Elektrownia Powiśle is another food court like the ones mentioned before, but in a different area near the Vistula River. It’s a great spot with a variety of places to grab a bite or enjoy a drink with friends.

Inside Elektrownia Powiśle, there is a plethora of fashionable boutiques and stores, as well as a separate gastronomic space with over twenty non-trivial projects, ranging from ramen bars to dim sum corners.

Also go to the Koneser Center in Praga, Elektrownia Powiśle or Fabryka Norblina, where post-industrial buildings are now filled with elegant restaurants and stylish drink bars that every foodie should know.

On the other side of the river, Elektrownia Powiśle — once a power plant — takes on a similar concept, but mostly with fashion outlets both from famous brands and Polish designers.
