04/11/2024: Had tried to get here last year but couldn’t get a table , so very happy we managed to get booked this year, unfortunately the weather was against us last Friday night , got there in a taxi as it was torrential rain, on arrival greeted by nice young couple who showed us to our table , once seated we could feel that there was a problem with water ingress onto our table but they tried their best to Mop it up , so onto the food . Starter was nice egg yolk with peas very tasty but only luke warm , my main of Lamb would have been sensational if agin was not luke warm, the problem is I think by the time the meals are traversed from kitchen to main dinning area the food cools down , more so on a terrible night weather wise, the wine pairing for us wasn’t as we would have expected and the price for the wine pairing was €35 per head , not worth it imo. Over all the windmill is a very one off place to experience but they need to up their game a bit regarding cold plates, and cost of wines if they want to get that top spot as the Dom Carlos did for many years our favourite place in Albuferia .
