Many diners highlight the unique flavors and personalized approach to dietary needs, making for memorable experiences. "Amazing experience at Avista.
We got the 6 course experience menu which was outstanding. To the dish they served the potato bread, which for anyone who has tried it is really good.
They had no problems to change the experience menu according to our allergies etc, so you got the dishes perfectly composed for you.
The waiters were very friendly and talkative, in a good way.
I would recommend this to anyone.
They also made sure that the desert had a birthday candle as one in the company had her birthday (was noticed in advance)"

Vegan Advegtures: Funchal, Madeira
🍴 Fancy restaurant serving michelin guide rated food but in a more casual setting (not a fully vegan venue but they offer vegan options) 📍 Estrada Monumental 143, 9004-532 Funchal, Portugal 💭 This was by far my favourite place we visited throughout the trip and we ended up visiting a few times. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and overlooks the ocean, The cocktails are beautiful and there are a few vegan options on the menu so not only do you have choice but the food is really good. On my first visit, I tried the tofu, mushrooms and vegetable jus which was delightful and on the second visit, I had the Beyond Meat meatballs in a lentil ragout which was fantastic.

At the main (Mediterranean) Avista, the dishes are largely a la carte and designed to be shared, though there are also bistro-style, innovation-driven and vegetarian tasting menus, all which have earned the restaurant a Bib Gourmand designation from Michelin.
