One of our favourite things to do is spend Sunday afternoon at Club Nau, watching the band over some food and a drink or two. The Covid-19 lockdown put an end to this for several weeks, but now “magic Sundays” are back!. Club Nau is a great beach-side restaurant/bar – enjoying a cocktail, looking out over the palms across Praia Grande’s beautiful white sand to the sea, you could easily be in a tropical paradise.

Situated on the stunning Praia Grande in Ferragudo, just across the Portimão Marina, lies one of my absolute favorite beach bars/restaurants!. This gem is the ideal spot to relish a sunset drink followed by a delectable dinner, all while basking in the captivating view of the sandy bay and the ocean. Indulge in beachside cocktails and savor (optional vegetarian) sushi for a truly delightful experience!

We went there several times, in the summer for a cocktail and in the winter, for lunch. The winter experience was amazing: just two days before Christmas, it was sunny, the beach was beautiful, the service was very good and the food was amazing. We didn't have the exact same vibe whilst going in the summer - it's so cool it's too busy - but we love their open beach front and live music.

Ferragudu's Terrace is a top dining spot in the Algarve region, famous for its amazing views and traditional Portuguese food. It overlooks the village of Ferragudo and offers sweeping views of the Arade River and the Atlantic Ocean. We’d say it’s a really good dining place to enjoy a meal on their outdoor terrace while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Here you will also find some interesting bars and restaurants to visit: The Club Nau is one of them, with a nice Mediterranean terrace and a panoramic view of the cliff. Or Kalu Beach Bar, right in the middle of the beach, to which you can get to by leaving the M530 Road, turning towards the sea.

Enjoy a rustic beach lounge and restaurant with stunning views, attentive service, delicious food, and carefully crafted cocktails. The perfect spot for a nice dinner or just a drink by the beach.

With its gorgeous coastline and superb climate, it is not surprising that there are some fantastic beach bars to be found in the Algarve. Club Nau is one of the very best...
