What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
This restaurant offers a unique countryside experience with a focus on family fun and a signature cheese wheel pasta. While many praise the ambiance, live music, and kid-friendly attractions, some reviews mention a decline in food quality and value, with specific criticisms of the cheese wheel pasta's preparation and overly salty meats. The coconut lemonade is often highlighted as a standout drink.
"Plenty of little things to see, nice artisan gifts. Delicious food, great quality."
Gabi Proszowska
"As with many Colombian restaurants including the word "campestre" this is no mere restaurant. Instead it is an afternoon'a worth of food and entertainment, fun for all the family (and pets) with cafe, pool, planetarium, fairground rides and tiendas in addition to the food service function.
As for the food, it is all the standard fare, their special is a cheese pasta cooked with much fanfare and little necessity in front of you. It's fine.
All of this is not really my scene, but my family, especially the kids, enjoyed it a lot and you can certainly do worse.
Good clean toilets."

"Unfortunately, this restaurant has declined over time. The price-quality ratio is no longer the same, as the quality has dropped significantly. Portions are very small and the dishes are quite plain — for example, pasta without any sauce or special flavor. Customer service is very basic and nothing stands out. It used to be a place worth visiting, but nowadays the quality has gone down a lot and the prices are no longer justified."

A weekend in Villa de Leyva
I looked on TripAdvisor and Google Maps for dinner options to find out which restaurants were coming out tops. We decided to try Casa San Pedro because we fancied pasta and were intrigued by the reviews of live music. The food was quite good – I had their speciality pasta cooked in cheese, which was nice but nothing out of this world.
