"Great place to get a beer and have a good day. Americans: please remember, this is France and you will need to politely get the servers attention. It is not poor service, it is culture."

"In general, I’ve noticed that Reunion Island has lower ratings compared to other places I’ve traveled. But I think this restaurant is the most underrated one I’ve been to so far.
The building and its exterior look classic and a bit old, but that actually gives the place a nice vibe. Inside, there are paintings of the first pilot who landed on the island, which the restaurant is named after.
The food is amazing. I’ve eaten at several places across the island, and this one has been my favorite. The staff are also very helpful and welcoming. I stayed on the island for a week and ended up coming back to this restaurant a few times."

"The cozy pub offered an extensive and impressive beer selection. The friendly staff took their time explaining the best choices and even provided the WiFi code when asked. The beers, complemented by delicious olives, created a perfect atmosphere. A warm and inviting spot for beer enthusiasts seeking both variety and a welcoming environment."

Where to eat in Reunion Island- A more exhaustive list
A brewery might be the last place you would think is where you want to go for lunch but hey, it is going to be superb. Or dinner if that is what you would prefer, honestly- both work perfectly fine. A “brasserie” is where traditionally beer was brewed on location to serve or sell.
