Reviews Summary
La Crama la Gigel is highly praised for its authentic, homemade traditional Romanian food, generous portions, and very fair prices, often described as a welcome escape from tourist traps. Many enjoy the cozy outdoor dining area, especially during sunset, and the friendly, welcoming staff. However, some reviews mention communication difficulties due to limited English proficiency and one diner found some dishes inedible.
"Came here in October to get some food. Quiet place with good prices
Got the grilled chicken, I think I ordered pork but language difficulties"

"Great local spot! Friendly staff, delicious traditional food, big portions and really fair prices. Definitely worth a visit!"

"This restaurant is less than 100 meters from the main thoroughfare but we'll worth seeking out. We dined outdoors as the sun set. Tucked down hill from the main street, we were protected from the cool breeze and were quite comfortable. There were a couple neighborhood cats that came around and greeted us but they were not begging or intrusive. The food is excellent and the pricing is great. The portions are generous and our server spoke English. I would definitely come here again."

These Are the Best Restaurants in Sinaia Where You Can Eat Like a King
This place was recommended to us by the lady we stayed at, and told us that’s the place where the locals eat (including the mayor of the city – which she used as a strong argument for this place). While I don’t really know if that’s the case, it does seem like THE place to go if you want to enjoy some traditional Romanian food, like mici (aka mititei), papanasi, tripe soup, pomana porcului and more. Just writing these names makes my mouth water.
