What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Homa Bistrot is lauded for its cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and a diverse menu featuring both local and international flavors, with many praising the weekend brunch buffet and unique dessert options. While many find the food delicious and portions generous, some diners have noted that certain dishes could be improved, and the cheese used might not be to everyone's preference. The restaurant also holds a Michelin recommendation, hinting at a quality dining experience, though some feel it's more of a solid bistro than fine dining.
"Excellent restaurant, we visit it regularly, the food and service are impeccable. Last night we ordered sea bass, Amatriciana pasta, and a chicken salad, and everything was absolutely delicious. Goran is an outstanding waiter – always polite and nothing is ever too much trouble for him."

"I had some pasta with bacon and my wife ordered lasagna. So the deal is the cheese they use I guess for all of their dishes. It's not parmesan for pasta or mozzarella for lasagna. It's just regular Serbian cheese that you might find in pastry around the city. And I don't know how you feel yourself about a big portion but I felt exhausted trying to eat that big plate of pasta. We'd flip our dishes but even that way it's too much of one flavor. But the wine was great. My wife never tried such a good wine made in Serbia. The wine menu is a strong five."
Vladimir Ashikhmin
"It's a nice looking place, cozy and warm. And that is it from positive things. I really expected more from the chef, and all dishes were mediocre at best.
We had three dishes, but tartar steak was simply terrible. Please don't call a dish tartar and serve chopped steak with terrible seasoning.
Service was ok, not good not terrible. I never talk about prices, but I know at least 30 better places where I can spend 50€ for dinner."

What are the potential candidates for Michelin stars in Belgrade?
Here, for example, it could be Lorenzo & Kakalamba or Homa Bistrot, and another candidate is Sasa Bar, led by Aleksandar Skipic, although the latter could be a candidate for the star as well, when it comes to the quality of the ingredients. Several restaurants from Beton Hala should also be in the running for a Michelin recommendation, perhaps Sakura or Toro... and maybe neither Sakura nor Toro, in fact, maybe none of the above.
The Best Cafes in Belgrade
Bistrot Homa isn’t strictly a cafe, but the tasty home-made meals on the menu only add another element to the laid-back cafe-like experience. This is a great place to catch your breath, where a morning coffee can easily transition into lunch or more. Bistrot Homa is definitely a little more upscale than the other spots on our list, but if you’re looking for that it’s one of our favorite places in Belgrade.

Best Breakfast Places in Belgrade
Homa Bistro is located close to the Kaleni ć Market in Vra čar, one of the locals’ most favourite districts. I love their interior because it reminds me on the arabic flair in Barcelona. The breakfast is served as buffet from 8:00 – 13:00 (550 RSD) including eggs to order.
