Langouste restaurant opened its doors two decades ago in the center of Belgrade, at Kosančićev Venac, where it has been offering the best fresh fish, seafood, delicious salads and much more to all true lovers of Mediterranean cuisine ever since. One of the few Belgrade restaurants that functions according to the highest world standards and is the closest to winning the renowned award in the culinary world - a Michelin star.

Langouste Restoran is a gem by the river, offering a serene backdrop to an 8-course tasting menu that dazzles with its sophistication and flavor diversity. Known for meticulous service, including the refined touch of crumb-clearing between courses, Langouste pays attention to the smallest details. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet relaxed, with a music selection that adds to the restaurant’s laid-back elegance.

Langouste has been standing with a view of the Sava River for more than 30 years, and it is situated on a charming cobblestone Old Town street and built into the side of a hill. Expect rich flavors and generous quantities in recipes that combine top-notch Serbian ingredients with French and Italian influences. The most well-known meals on the menu are fish catch of the day and Serbian rib eye steak.

The Belgrade restaurants that have been placed in the recommended category are, like last year, Salon 1905, Gušti mora, JaM, Enso, Homa, Magellan, The Square, Legat 1903, Ebisu, Comunale Cafè e Cucina, Mezestoran Dvorište, Langouste and Bela Reka. New recommended restaurants are Metropolitan Grill at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Skylounge at the Hilton Hotel and Twenty Two at the Metropol Palace Hotel.

Think about lobster, foie gras, and traditional meat dishes, that’s what Langouste is about. This restaurant has been serving its clients for 30 years and has always been considered one of the best ones in Belgrade in the category of fine dining. Interior design follows the style and you should follow the dress code, which is smart casual.

Njihov meni nudi bogat izbor delikatesa pripremljenih od najkvalitetnijih sastojaka, uz pažljivo odabrane vinske etikete koje savršeno upotpunjuju obrok.

At the helm in the kitchen of Langouste is Guillaume Iskandar, a Frenchman who fell in love with Belgrade. Excellent food and service can also be found at the Square Nine restaurant. Homa restaurant and the recently opened GiG in Novi Beograd (New Belgrade, on the western bank of the Sava river), are also worth a visit.

On the curve of a cobbled street near the city's bombed library, stone stairs lead down to a smartly decorated room, full of light. Huge windows face out onto the waterfront of the River Sava and overlook an old marina. Opposite, on the far bank, are the husks of Belgrade's nightlife hub, now dormant.

It's a great place if you are into reasonable prices and nice food. Their cuisine combines numerous cooking elements meaning that their food definitely isn't boring. So, if you are into something different with restaurant vibes, Langouste is your best bet.

Currently, there are rumors that the biggest favorites are Homa, Langouste and Salon 5. All three are high-cuisine restaurants, with recognized chefs, two of whom are owners as well. Chef Filip Ciric is one of the pioneers of fine dining in Serbia.
