"For somewhere that is very touristy, I have to say I was surprised by the quality of the food. We had 4-5 proper meals in Bratislava and I’ve visited a few years back, it’s the best place I’ve been to for traditional food. Highly recommend coming!"

"A nice place to enjoy some traditional Slovak food. I had the fried cheese with potatoes, and my friend went for the gnocchi. Everything was pretty good! The gnocchi was a bit lacking in flavour at first, but after adding some chili (extra €2), it tasted much better. Service was good and they spoke English too, which was really helpful. Cozy spot overall ❤️"

"Off the beaten track you will find this jewel of a Slovakian restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Potato pancake was a terrific appetizer. The Gulash and Shepherd's Pie was fantastic! For desert of Crispy Pasties with Plum Jam was the perfect ending to our meal. The beer and homemade lemonade was also wonderful."

The best food in Bratislava
We made plans to visit the Christmas Market the next day, before heading to Koliba Kamzík, where we found a cheerful mixture of locals and tourists in a space that reminded us of a country kitchen. Here we ordered potato dumplings, smoked meat, sauerkraut, bacon and onions. Dessert consisted of more potato, this time with walnuts, poppy seeds, sugar and butter.
