This is one of the more popular cafés in Ljubljana to meet with friends or enjoy people watching. TOZD offers fair trade coffee that can be enjoyed while sitting under the giant trees that provide shade on sunny days. If it’s cold or rainy, sit inside, where the walls are adorned with photos taken by contemporary Slovenian artists.

Start the day with breakfast or brunch at Tozd or Kavarna Zvezda, depending on whether you’re up for sandwiches and sharing plates, or mouthwatering omelets.

Tozd, through technically a café, also carries some excellent wines, most of which are raw, unfiltered, and very tasty. While incldvorniuding Tozd on a ‘wine bars’ list may seem like a stretch, I’d argue that the fact that they carry anything by Heaps Good Wine ensures that they certainly know what they’re doing. The wine list here is really small, but the wines they do carry are excellent, and pair extraordinarily well with a canal-side seat - of particular note is the Pinot noir by the aforementioned heaps good wine - an absolute steal at 3 euro a glass.

Located right by the river Ljubljanica, this *trendy bar and café *is perfect for all of those wanting to relax and recharge after a long day of walking and exploring the city. Get your coffee served in unique colorful cups and taste one of their sweet treats or toasts while preparing for new experiences. What makes this café extra special is its library that is located inside, where you can take one of the books, as long as you bring and leave one of your own.

Some of Ljubljana's most loved bars and eateries are located along the river and Tozd is no exception. A coffee shop and cafe by day (the avocado toast is supposed to be great), it transitions to a breezy bar by night. There are plenty of tables on the street, overlooking the river (and large umbrellas to provide shelter from the sun and/or rain), as well as more seating in the quirkily decorated cafe.

It's impossible not to fall under the spell of this adorably decorated bar. From the ashtrays proudly displaying the logo of legendary Yugoslavian Filter 57 cigarettes, to the recycled radios and TVs, the orange mugs, fixies and longboards, this place is dripping with nostalgia. But Tozd has all five senses covered: try one of the wines, one of their many Slovenian craft beers, or cold brew coffee.

TOZD offers space for domestic microbreweries, boutique wines and other creatives. You can treat yourself to excellent coffee that supports the principle of fair trade. This way, you will be able to try organic coffee from different continents, knowing that your cup has contributed to the better welfare of its growers, as the number of middlemen has been reduced to a minimum.

Quirky is a great way to describe TOZD, one of the best coffee shops in Ljubljana. Like many other cafes in the city, the spot acts as a gathering place of sorts for locals and travellers alike. You can stop by for a hot cappuccino in the morning, a cold brew in the afternoon, and then stay on through the evening to enjoy a wide selection of beer, wine, and tapas.

You can also, of course, sample and enjoy the hops brews, both draft and bottled, of many Slovenian brewers in Ljubljana’s myriad bars and pubs, with some of the more prominent among them being Godec Pub, Kavarna Kino Šiška, Lepa Žoga, Gas Station, Rafinerija Cukrarna, Prulček, the entire Petkovškovo nabrežje embankment, Pritličje, TOZD, and many more.

Tozd bar, a favourite among locals, is not just an ordinary bar. Besides offering café classics like coffee, tea, and wine, it also doubles as an exhibition and sales salon, where you can purchase displayed furnishings. A bring-and-take library allows guests to exchange books or simply read them while relaxing on the terrace.

I would start the day with TOZD – called by locals a hipster’s paradise. To be honest with you, I did not notice any of them, rather good looking, fashionable people which Ljubljana is full of anyways. This place strikes a delicate balance between its design, super friendly staff and fine selection of snacks and drinks.

Riverside spot TOZD is a charmingly undefined space: part cafe, part bar, part library. Like Tine Čokl, TOZD owner Robert Henigman was one of the first in Ljubljana to serve specialty coffee. A chef by trade, Henigman spent about four years in Australia, where he worked in hospitality and discovered third wave coffee.

Tozd is a great restaurant in Ljubljana if you are looking for great food and atmosphere. The interior is really cozy and intimate, and the staff are all super friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend trying out dečigonci – they are a traditional Slovenian dish and they are absolutely delicious!

There is probably no person in Ljubljana that didn’t visit this place already, even in their new location. With its approach, Tozd is an attractive and vibrant place with an energy that meets every young person’s soul. It will leave you impressed both with its design and its own brewed coffee.

Tozd has one of the nicest of locations among the cafés in the city. They also serve an excellent cup of coffee making it a no brainer to stop by here on one of your mornings in Ljubljana. It’s situated along the bank of the river and offers a relaxing and shady spot under a large tree.

TOZD Bar is a trendy wine bar located in the vibrant Trnovo district. The bar offers a selection of Slovenian wines, with a focus on organic and biodynamic options. Their wine flights offer a chance to sample a variety of their offerings.

While trying to become one of the hippest capitals in Europe, Ljubljana must have a 100% hipster spot such as Todz, a bar located along the Ljubljanica river with a retro design inspired by former Yugoslavia.

With excellent coffee, topped toasts and craft beers, why not join them?. Inside, it’s a stylish cafe with a bicycle hanging from the ceiling and outside, there’s tons of seating overlooking the river.

Tozd had my favourite coffee in Ljubljana, which we enjoyed sitting outside. It also has some nice seating and cafe area inside too. They are also a bar and do Slovenian craft beers and wines.

Established in 2013, Tozd quickly became a favorite for its inventive cocktails and prime riverside location. Its eclectic decor and relaxed vibe make it an ideal spot to unwind with friends.

I loved the iced coffee that I had here, and the outdoor seating is perfect on a warm, summery day!
