What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners frequently praise the Black Marlin for its stunning ocean views and professional, friendly service. The seafood is often highlighted as delicious and well-prepared, though some meals have received mixed reviews. While the atmosphere and location are generally lauded, occasional complaints arise regarding service speed (like waiting for the bill) and specific dish quality (e.g., a disappointing milkshake or bland food).
"This restaurant has the best location with beautiful sea views. The service was good - the staff is friendly and food arrived quick. The atmosphere is good - there is a lot to admire about this place. The cons: We waited long for our bill and they have a very overpriced cheesecake, R99 for a small round fridge cheesecake. The pros however do outweigh the cons, I would definitely go back. Still 5stars from me."

"I was here today for the lunch when I was heading to the Cape of good Hope.
It was a random stop without planning yet we're lucky.
The view was stunning.
The dishes were really delicious and the service was quite good as well.
We've tried fettuccine and curry sea food , both were amazing.
My only minor complaint that I asked for spicy sauce, surprisingly they charged me for that 🤷🏻♂️
I've been to more than 50 countries, and this is the 1st time that someone charges for a sauce 😂
Strongly recommended 👌🏻"

"Really great spot for a relaxed lunch. Awesome views. Recommend sitting outside if weather allows.
Food is good. Well priced. Nothing incredible but definitely enjoyable and I would go back. Service was really sharp, friendly and just lekker local.
Overall fantastic, but please do something about the toilets. They were not up to standard."
