What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jeju Osung Traditional Restaurant is highly praised for its signature grilled and braised cutlassfish, served in a modern and spacious setting. Diners love the fresh ingredients, generous portions, and the attentive service, especially the tableside fish filleting. While many find the food delicious and the experience memorable, some note that menu items can change and that it can be quite crowded.
"A very unique restaurant where I got to enjoy grilled cutlassfish for the first time. The grilled fish was fresh, flaky and so delicious.
The whole set also came with braised Jeju cutlassfish which was served with other seafood such as abalone, prawns, clams and octopus. The soup base was spicy but yet has that hint of sweetness to elevate the dish.
The other excellent dish which we tasted was the deep fried octopus. It wasn’t chewy at all and was don’t just right - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
I would highly recommend for anyone to try this at least once while you are in Jeju."

"They do not serve bbq pork or abalone rice bowls anymore. There were old pictures in google reviews with it.
We had the grilled mackerel and cutlass fish. It was okay. Service was great , staff could speak Chinese. Extremely skilled in deboning the cutlass fish in minutes!
Last order 820pm.
There is a kid’s playroom."

Seaweed is an important part of the Korean diet – it’s delicious, abundant and ultra-nutritious. During the Korean War, many Jeju residents subsisted mostly on a diet of seaweed soup (miyeok-guk) and rice. Miyeok-guk is enjoyed throughout Korea, but there are regional differences.
