Reviews Summary

Diners praise El Tejado for its authentic Spanish cuisine, particularly the paella and tapas, noting the friendly and efficient service. The relaxing atmosphere adds to the overall positive dining experience. While most reviews are glowing, some minor points like a plain margarita were mentioned.

"We wanted to experience some authentic Spanish cuisine and Paella was on the top of our wish list. After a little local research this place was recommended, and it didn’t disappoint.
The Taxi we took near the hotel knew exactly where this place was and we were greeted on arrival and quickly seated.

Please note: this restaurant accepts cash only and there is a cash machine just outside the restaurant. (a twenty second walk)

The waiter was young but very helpful and efficient. We were served with drinks and awaited the Tapas.
Everything came out fast and was clearly freshly prepared/cooked. It was very good.
We then had a short wait for the Paella.

All of the Paella dishes are cooked to order and take a reasonable 40 minutes. It was well worth the wait!
We ordered both the Seafood and the Chicken and Chorizo Paella. All I can say is wow! It was very tasty and everyone enjoyed our meal.
We spent €120 for a family of four but that included two rounds of drinks and a good tip. We took loads of the Paella home and you could spend less and come away full.
Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Edit: well it’s our last night in Tenerife and we have returned to this place. I cannot speak highly enough of the food we received today.
See you next time!"

"Food was lovely for our table of 6. All cooked well and piping hot. Proper Spanish food, proper Spanish atmosphere. Will definitely be back if we return to Tenerife. Thank you!"

"Amazing.
Make sure to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

The service was like a well oiled machine. Happy waiter/waitress couldn't do enough for us.

The food was AMAZING. It was authentic Spanish paella which we waited approx 45 minutes for as it is all cooked fresh upon ordering
There were no complaints from our table about the food - everything was spot on

Tapas menus is large - the padron peppers are surprisingly unbelievable and also the garlic prawns were immense.

The atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

Could not recommend highly enough - we would return in a flash."
