Reviews Summary
Restaurante Las Murallas offers a unique dining experience with its historic ambiance and traditional Spanish dishes. While some find the food disappointing or overpriced, others praise the good food and excellent treatment, particularly enjoying dishes like cochinillo and the lively atmosphere. The location near the town walls is a major draw, though service can be slow during busy periods.
"She’s touristy but swallow your pride! Look, if you come to Avila and don’t try the local bread soup, did you even go? This cozy spot by the walls is unapologetically traditional, meaning, yes, that is soggy bread in a bowl and yes, it will weirdly grow on you by the third bite. But the Yemas de Santa Teresa (candied egg yolks) are a must try too. They’re little orange orbs of sugar and yolk alchemy. You gotta try the local foods."

"This place is the WORST restaurant I’ve been to in my life. First of all, their lamb chops were the most salty thing I’ve tried In my life. Then it gets even worst my friend got the spaghetti and I swear they put ketchup on it. Also he got the chicken soup that looked like someone threw up in it and it tasted so bad. Then we got a steak to share and it was so undercooked I could hear the cow still mooing they took it back and gave us another one. The new one was SO BLAND we didn’t finish any of the food. To add on it was so expensive $60 really? PLEASE PLEASE do not come here WOEST FOOD OF MY LIFE."

"The restaurant looks nice and fine! The vibes are good, it is right in front of the walls. Great location as well. But the food was disappointing. Didn't really enjoy any dish that we tried here. I give 3 stars just for the fast service and overall good ambience in the place."

Ávila: The Complete Guide
The ancient walls, which still enclose the Ciudad Vieja (Old Town) of Ávila, are the best preserved in Spain. After the Christian Reconquest of Ávila, the ramparts became an important line of defence against the Moors. Raimundo de Borgoña, son-in-law of Alfonso VI, built the massive circuit of protective walls between 1090 and 1099.
