What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Soul Kitchen offers a vibrant atmosphere with a diverse menu that successfully blends traditional Spanish flavors with modern twists, including notable vegan options. While many praise the tender meats, unique starters, and friendly service, some find the pricing high for the overall experience, with occasional remarks about overcooked elements or blandness in certain dishes. It's a popular spot recommended for its cozy ambiance and creative culinary approach, though consistency in execution can vary.
"Great atmosphere. Cozy and warm to chill with glass of whiskey and talk with friends. And great food to completetge night. We had pulled beef burbon and chichen burger with fried noodles and hummus, which was creative. The chicken could be better but everything else was fantastic. Super nice and friendly staff."

"We got lunch here, experience was average.
We ordered octopus, a salad, pasta, and chuleton.
The octopus tasted nice, but was extremely charred near the bottom, and the tip was just charcoal. The pasta had nearly no salt, and tasted okay. The salad and chuleton tasted really nice though.
We then ordered a cheesecake for desert, which was extremely small.
2 wine glasses were also ordered.
This cost a total of €90, which I find to be too high for our meal.
Service was fine, the waiters were helpful and friendly.
Overall, the place was not too bad, but not a place that I would return to."

"Arrive late Sunday for the fixed menu al dia. Delicious chilled melon and mint soup starter (never had that before but wow!). Tried two very tasty mains (beef stew and fish salad) and great desserts. Plus glass of wine. Even liked the crockery. Toilet really clean. Waiter was helpful and pleasant. Very happy with experience."

Yes, You Should Visit Avila, Spain! Here is Why
We actually ate at the Soul Kitchen inside the city walls (if only I listened to my own advice!). The restaurant looked great, was packed, had great reviews on TripAdvisor, clean toilets but really was just a fancy burger joint. The burgers were nice, but you don’t go to Spain for burgers!
