José Manuel Varela took over the family-run Bodega La Puntualin 2004, keeping in mind his parent’s vision while continuously improving classic dishes with a modern touch. Here, one of the best Iberian charcuterie boards and oysters can be found. Grupo Varela has four other chains called Varela, La Xarxa, and L’Estupendu.

Authentic food made with excellent quality ingredients in a place where history is infused in the walls. By the entrance there is a casual oyster bar with a few snacks, wine and sparkling wine, and further inside you’ll find a larger room with tables, also for larger groups. Make sure to try the Arroz de Pluma Ibérica.

EAT & DRINK: Bodega la Puntual – These were our favorite bravas for the way they were cooked. They were delightfully crunchy, the aioli and the tomato sauce were both delicious, and they had an extensive wine and cava list.
