Diners also rave about the personalized and friendly service, with the chef often engaging directly with guests. While some note the ambiance might be a bit quiet due to limited seating, the culinary experience and warm hospitality make it a highly recommended destination.
"We were driving from Lisbon to Madrid and happened upon this place- it was SPECTACULAR!! They went out of their way to accommodate us, I am a pescatarian and the other 3 people were meat eaters. Wow! Totally blew our socks off delicious! He made sauces that exploded with flavor on fresh meats and fish and then he put together the very best vegetarian zucchini, tomato, paprika, cheese heavenly thing- I can’t express how great it was!! The meat eaters were equally happy!! And yes the wine and dessert were also enjoyed! Then we also tried a local liquor that was new to us called bellota (acorn) - so delicious, nothing like we had ever tried.
We really enjoyed how friendly the chef and waitress were with us. We don’t speak Spanish well but she helped us try and we shared many laughs!
It was a complete joy to eat here. I know it’ll be our best meal of our 2 week trip!! - thanks! I hope we’ll be back!"

"Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Spain, and that’s a high compliment. We had the tasting menu, only €33 each. Five courses and all delicious. Locally sourced. Everything was from Extremadura. Special mention of the pork with three different mustards, and the foie and beef carpaccio. Also, the owners Francisco and Ana are lovely people and serve you themselves and happily describe what you’re eating. One of our very best eating experiences ever in Spain."

Where to eat in Cáceres
Madruelo (Camberos, 2): Both stylish and cosy, Madruelo is without doubt one of the best restaurants in Cáceres. Its classic dishes pay tribute to seasonal Mediterranean cuisine. You should try the rice with beans and repápalos, a type of bread-based meatball.
Great Food and Top Things to Do in Cáceres, Spain
Just a couple blocks from Plaza Mayor, El Madruelo’s peaceful dining room first impresses with its original art, all created by owners Francisco and Ana. (Seriously, I’m thinking of commissioning a piece.). From the complete menu, it wasn’t hard to decide.

By far the best upscale meal I ever had in Spain was at Madruelo, located within walking distance of Cáceres' old city.
