Reviews Summary
Taberna Séneca offers a traditional Cordobés tapas experience with some standout homemade dishes like croquetas and papas bravas. While many praise the friendly and attentive service, some diners have found the food portions to be small and the prices high for the quantity, especially given the simple ambiance. Consistency in food preparation and waiting times have also been noted as areas for improvement by some visitors.

"(Translated by Google) We decided to visit Taberna Séneca during our stay in Córdoba, but unfortunately the experience fell far short of our expectations. Although when we arrived at 2:15 p.m. we had our table ready and they welcomed us with some soft drinks, olives and croquettes, the rest of the service and the quality of the dishes left much to be desired.
The only thing that stood out was the waiter, who was attentive, friendly and helpful. He was concerned with trying to solve the problems that arose, although this was not enough to compensate for the serious deficiencies of the place.
As for the food, the croquettes were the only thing we really enjoyed. They served us eight units with four different flavors, all delicious. However, the rest of the dishes were disappointing. The flamenquin arrived raw and with a very strong flavor that made us doubt the quality of the meat. Although the waiter apologized and brought a new one, this didn't improve the experience either, so we decided to order sirloin tips instead. The patatas bravas, for their part, were unevenly cooked; some were overcooked while others were practically raw.
The wait for the next dish was endless. It took almost an hour to bring us the sirloin tips. Although the meat was good, the pepper that accompanied the dish arrived raw, revealing a worrying pattern in the kitchen.
In addition to the problem with the quality of the food, the waiting time was excessive. We left the restaurant at 16:10, after spending almost two hours there for a lunch that shouldn't have taken that long, especially considering some dishes were returned for being poorly prepared.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the quality-price ratio was not fair. For the prices offered on the menu, we expected a much more satisfactory culinary experience, both in the quality of the dishes and in the organization of the service.
In conclusion, the experience was a great disappointment, especially because we were excited to try the local cuisine during our tourist trip to Córdoba. The only positive point was the waiter, who went out of his way to save a meal that was ruined by a disorganized kitchen and poorly prepared products. If we had read a review like this before, we would have chosen another place to enjoy Cordoba food.
We would not recommend this restaurant unless significant improvements are made to the kitchen and service.
