What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners praise Taberna Albero for its authentic Cuenca cuisine and cozy, timeless atmosphere, noting friendly service and unique dishes like boar meatballs and chocolate sausage. However, some reviews mention slow service and smaller portions relative to the price, suggesting a more relaxed pace is key to enjoying the experience.
"Pretty small but such a cosy place to dine in. We liked complimentary traditional snacks for our drinks, and the food was simple but tasty. It seems that time inside has got frozen - as if nothing has changed in that place for decades, which makes the experience all the more authentic."
Oleg Safarov
"This is a lovely spot to taste typical dishes of Cuenca. Everything was fresh and very well prepared. We were happy with the service and the price. The place is on the smaller side, si to secure a table you might need to book a table. Boar meatballs were delicious, morteruelo and ox tail were very very good."
Marina Romero
"You can taste Cuenca's unique food. Foods made from various wild meats are attractive. I recommend the Albóndigas de jabalí, made with wild boar meat."
