What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Las Tomasas is highly praised for its stunning views of the Alhambra and elegant ambiance, making it a top choice for romantic dinners and special occasions. While the food is generally considered excellent and the service attentive, some diners have noted minor service hiccups and occasional inconsistencies in main courses, though the overall value, especially with the tasting menu, is frequently highlighted as a strong positive.
"Disclaimer: We were in a group tour where our meals were preordered, and it may not reflect the same dishes from their regular menu.
This was a “treat” being able to dine with the magnificent view of the Alhambra, enjoying great dishes. As you can see from the photos that we had a great view even adorned with rainbow at one point. The night view was even more spectacular when the Alhambra lit up.
We had the local refreshing greens with olives and chopped egg, gazpacho with melon pieces, the white fish (I think it was bass), and skirt steak with some sort of Pedro Ximenez Sauce. Finished with a nice fruit jam dessert."

"Great location, beautiful views. Food is solid, enjoyed the flavors. Great for groups or a romantic night out in Granada. So amazing to dine with the Alhambra in your eyeline."
Ulrick
"For once the saying you can‘t eat the view doesn’t apply: the view of the Alhambra is spectacular here and the food more then terrific. We loved it, the service is attentive and very friendly and the prices all considered reasonable. A recommendation."

Terraza las Tomasas is surely Andalucía’s most romantic restaurant. Indeed, the views alone are worth the price of a meal; a gorgeous, whitewashed terrace with unrestricted views of Granada’s Alhambra palace ensures that las Tomasas is packed with a well-dressed clientele who come en masse in families and groups on weekends and in steady flow most weekdays. However, this gem of a restaurant doesn’t just trade on its location; the cooking is of a similarly high standard.

The best dining alternatives in Albaicín
If you go to Carril de San Agustín, you will come across a restaurant called Las Tomasas, an idyllic setting with a garden terrace. In the early days, they only served cold dinner alternatives and appetisers, but they slowly expanded their menu and indoor space. They make traditional dishes from Andalusia and Granada, such as chilled salmorejo soup with hard-boiled egg and ham or remojón granadino (orange salad with onion and cod).

In 1989 this restaurant opened its doors using part of its beautiful gardens as a summer terrace, where snacks and cold dinners were served. Since then, its gastronomic offer has been expanded, as well as its indoor and outdoor facilities. The interior dining rooms are decorated in detail and there are several terraces set up in case you opt for a winter wedding, since they have glass curtains, a stove and infrared heaters.
