Reviews Summary
Marcela Brasa y Vinos offers a split experience with a lively tapas bar and a more traditional upstairs restaurant specializing in grilled meats. While many praise the outstanding food, particularly the grilled dishes and desserts, and the welcoming atmosphere, some reviews note service inconsistencies and a few minor issues with food preparation or noise from doors. The restaurant is celebrated for its high-quality ingredients and its prime location near Casa Botines.
"One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten in Spain (at the tapas bar at Marcela). I had the Burrata, Tomato, and Kalamata; my server brought me a lovely Albarín (vino blanco from León) to enjoy with it. He also brought over a complimentary glass of Verdejo for me to try. The Albarin was a fantastic match with the tapas (Olives with a spicy tomato sauce) and the Verdejo was perfect with the Tomato and Burrata. I finished the meal with a flan artesano with a cardamom sauce - possibly the best flan I’ve ever had. Thank you to Marcela for a wonderful visit and a fantastic memory!"

"There are two parts of Marcela Brasa y Vinos - a brasserie upstairs and a tapas bar on the ground level. Visiting the tapas bar, which is set in a very wide open space. Service was slow and the food was relatively overpriced compared to the quality. The atmosphere and space is highly inviting. Marcela is also conveniently located close to the center of Leon."

"Enjoyed the experience but given its reputation on both Ripsol and Michelin it was a little disappointing. The great service and beautiful room did make up for the good but ordinary food. If you are looking for a top food experience this is not the place for you."
