What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Tavina is celebrated for its exceptional wine selection and the lively atmosphere of Calle Laurel. Diners rave about signature tapas like the crispy pig ear and the extensive wine list. However, some reviews mention that while the ambiance is appealing, certain food dishes can be inconsistent, with some experiencing greasy options or less-than-impressive preparations.
"Tried the beef tartare and it was excellent, fresh, tender, and well-seasoned with just the right balance of flavors. The cheesecake was decent, nothing too special. But the real surprise? The wine mixed with lemonade, probably the best drink I’ve had today! Definitely worth a visit for the food and drinks."

"For some reason, this restaurant is highly rated. We could not understand why.
The wine selection is outstanding, that is on the bright side.
However, food was well-below par. I made the mistake of ordering fried artichokes. I only learned from another customer that it was the wrong season for that. Very underwhelming, I would remove it from menu if I was the owner. Small portion on top of that.
The rest of the food was average. We left after 2-3 tapas because of that. I would still return because the inside atmosphere was awesome, dominated by wine bottles, it is very attractive from the outside. But I would only drink here.
Service was quick and amicable, but not that friendly. Overall, just an average place, there are better options in Logroño.
P.S.: if this review was useful to you, please leave a quick ❤️, thank you 🙏"

Start off in the ground-floor bar, where you can pair by-the-glass vinos with tapas such as ham croquetas and tuna tataki. Then, move up to the first-floor cellar and tasting room – where 500 varieties are ready for sipping – and order a bottle of your favourite to enjoy with lunch or dinner in the dining room above.
A Tapas Tour of Logroño City, La Rioja
The next night we actually started off sitting inside a bar with a simply fantastic world wine collection called La Tavina. It was here we ate dangerously more-ish slabs of boiled pigs cheek skin doused in rough sea salt (the worlds best pork scratching) and fat wedges of oozy tortilla with chorizo, spinach and piminto. I’ve always seen a Spanish tortilla as an okay sort of dish, but after discovering how it is meant to be eaten, still soft and eggy in the middle, I’m become a total convert and I think they are among some of the best things I ate.
