Decorated by Lázaro Rosa-Violán and located at Number 20, Jorge Juan Street in Madrid, Amazónico has become a season sensation. The Catalan designer has been able to achieve “an authentic trip through the Amazon” in a jungle-inspired fresh and cosmopolitan space. Playing with plain velvets in red and green tones, as well as some printed fabrics from Liberty, he combined them with details such as fringes in the chairs and lamps to create a colonial touch reminiscent of those small hotels along the Amazon in Peru, Brazil, Colombia…

An exotic feel overwhelms customers — ranging from socialites, to fashionistas and businessmen — upon entering the restaurant. The name has been chosen by Sandro Silva and Marta Seco ( owners of some of the most exclusive restaurants in town) to revoke the jungle and justify the green interior design by Lázaro Rosa-Violán. The cuisine dominates people’s palates by incorporating colorful, tropical cocktails with perfectly plated dishes, and can be followed by some live jazz and drinks in their club downstairs.

If you’re looking for a more international, well-travelled and cosmopolitan cuisine, then Amazónico is the place for you, with a plethora of flavours waiting to be discovered.
