Reviews Summary

Uvedoble Taberna offers a unique and impressive tapas experience with creative flavors and beautiful presentation. Diners rave about the quality of the food, the friendly and attentive service, and the charming atmosphere. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few patrons have noted issues with service attentiveness during peak times.

"This restaurant in the heart of Málaga is exceptional. I was lucky enough to get a table outside around 3 PM, which was perfect for enjoying the sun.

My server was very attentive and helped me navigate the menu.

Although they had run out of sangria, I tried the summer red—a great alternative. It was fruity and full of bright, summery flavors.

The food was on another level. The garlic prawn mini-kebab and the crusty king prawn rolls with soy sauce were the highlights. The kebab was packed with juicy, fresh prawns, while the king prawn rolls—prawns wrapped in filo pastry and fried—were simple yet executed to perfection.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the black toasted noodles with Málaga little squids. I found them lacking in flavor, and there weren’t many squid pieces. However, it was still an interesting dish to try.

Overall, this is a fantastic place to eat. It came highly recommended by a friend, and I can see why. I’ve also tried visiting during peak lunch and dinner hours, but they get very busy. If you can, book a table in advance to avoid disappointment."

Boris Sousa (QueenBRani)

"Angel was such a fantastic waiter! So friendly, professional and provided incredible recommendations! Thank you so much, he is a credit to your restaurant. The octopus roll and the ribs in lettuce leaves are our favourites (recommended by Angel) and we had some amazing dessert wine too. We will be back!"

Lara Smith

"If you want to eat fresh, local and well made Spanish food then you should consider to come here! I came here twice during my holiday in Malaga.
As a fish lover I must say that the fish was really well made! Russian salad is definitely the best in town! Made with the prawns on top the delicate oil over it was absolutely amazing! The octopus in the brioche bun was something special. The taste of it with the contrast of all the other veggies on top was marvellous!
The place can get very busy, come on time."

An expert guide to a weekend in Malaga

Opposite Uvedoble, have a look around the Roman amphitheatre at the base of Mount Gibralfaro, then walk up to the Alcazaba, the Moorish fortress and palace that dates back to the 11th century and now also houses an archaeological museum. Above it is the Gibralfaro castle, built in the 14th century and worth the hike to get up there.

Málaga (2021

Still arguably the single best place to eat I’ve found in Málaga, Uvedoble relocated in 2021 to a bigger site, still close to the cathedral but just around the corner from its previous home. The menu is clever, modern and almost ridiculously easy to adapt to any group size or any event: nearly everything comes in small, medium or large so you can have one all to yourself or share it with your companions (or, for that matter, order a large and have it all to yourself). The classics were all waiting for me when I returned, so I got to reacquaint myself with oxtail albondigas, the meat rich and falling apart, served on a bed of skinny chips.
