"I shared a truly unforgettable dining experience this evening at Restaurante Skina in Marbella, Spain, one that left us feeling inspired and energized. From the moment we walked in, every aspect of our visit was exceptional, with bold flavors, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding service all coming together to create a truly exceptional experience. Thank you!"

"We chose the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairing. The opening non-alcoholic aperitif and snack in the separate wine room was a nice touch. Then we moved into the chef’s kitchen where you stand at an island and are presented with another set of appetizers. They were mushroom themed with plenty of shaved truffle varieties. Also a unique part of the experience as this happens before you are seated at your actual table. The courses and pairings are served at well timed intervals. Positives: filling meal, amuse bouche was 5 or 6 bites, dishes really intimated art and were delicious, wine pairing had a wide range of Spanish varietals. Cons: Upon being seated we told the server of a shrimp allergy and he repeated each 3 subsequent visits to the table that this should’ve been communicated prior; we understood this and said we could’ve gone the a la carte route if modifications could not be made. Instead the chefs were able to accommodate, but the server kept reiterating how we should’ve let them know - reinforcing a feeling of guilt. After the bread course and crumbs were quite literally all over the table, the restaurant did not remove these (despite having asked) until before the dessert course. Attentiveness seemed to taper off toward the end of the meal as the staff could be seen chatting amongst themselves. Overall the food was incredible, presentation was stunning, and it’s worth a visit."

"Intimate Fine Dining at Its Best
Our experience at this 2 Michelin star seafood restaurant was truly unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcome and valued. What made our evening truly special was having the entire restaurant to ourselves, creating an intimate and exclusive atmosphere that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the culinary journey.
The highlight of the evening was witnessing the chefs at work, watching them skillfully prepare each dish with precision and care. This behind-the-scenes look added an extra layer of appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship that went into every bite.
The seafood was exquisite, with each dish showcasing the chef's creativity and expertise. Every bite was a masterclass in flavors, textures, and presentation. The service was impeccable, with our every need attended to with warmth and professionalism.
This dining experience was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of fine cuisine, impeccable service, and personalized attention. If you're looking for a special night out that feels like a private affair, look no further. We left feeling sated, impressed, and already planning our next visit."

You may be surprised to learn that Málaga is actually somewhat of a gastronomic capital, with more Michelin stars to its name than any other city in Andalucía (El Lago, Calima and Skina and La Veranda at the Hotel Villa Padierna are four Michelin-starred establishments in Marbella alone). Foodies from all over the world rave over Spain’s creative chefs, many of whom have honed their crafts under greats like Martín Berasategui or Ferrán Adriá.
