"Ciudad Real is going through a new wave of cuisine in urban restaurants, and La Soga is one of the best examples of this new trend. IMHO, this restaurant is in the top 5 in Ciudad Real. It is too small, though, and booking is mandatory. From a single tapa to any single item on the menu, it is all amazing. Tapas are completely unusual: unlike usual tapas, they can surprise you with maybe a great rice, maybe a stew of beans with an unexpected spice. Food is usually a fusion of traditional Manchego products and recipes with modern or international elements. Yesterday, we had a GREAT tenderloin on top of a bed of Manchego cheese ravioli, and it was AMAZING. The wine offering is short but really interesting, a short list of successes. I am longing to get there again."
