What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
San Sebastián 57 offers a refined dining experience with exquisite dishes and attentive service, often praised for its creative flavors and elegant presentation. While most diners rave about the quality and value, some have noted minor inconsistencies in steak preparation and service during busy periods.
"I liked the dinner here, took a set for €54 and was satisfied with the food. Especially liked starters - Tartar, Shrimp Ceviche and Potato Foam were 3 delicious starters in this set and I liked them all. Others were also good, but I was full after pork cheeks 😁
Generally - I recommend this place, cozy and tasty 👍"

"An elegant, minimalist restaurant with refined lighting and perfectly set tables. Part of the kitchen is visible through a glass partition, letting you watch the chefs at work. Near the entrance, you’ll see a proud wall of awards, from the Guía Repsol to the 2024 Michelin Star.
The service is polished and attentive. With each course, the staff carefully explains how the dish was prepared and which ingredients were used. It adds a deeper appreciation to the entire experience.
We ordered the tasting menu and a steak. Despite arriving quite hungry, we couldn’t finish the full menu — it’s generous and easily shareable between two people.
The tasting menu included four starters, main courses made with local ingredients, two desserts, and a sweet treat at the end. Every dish was well-balanced, thoughtfully plated, and served at the perfect pace.
The only downside was the steak. It cost around €50, so you naturally expect it to be perfectly cooked — but unfortunately, it wasn’t the doneness we had requested. Still, the overall experience was excellent and definitely worth it for anyone seeking a refined, flavorful journey."

"A restaurant in 2 parts. 1 side is more of a wine bar lounge set off from their in house vinoteca. The other side houses the very minimalistic establishment.
Please be aware there is no official madriaje of wines to pair with their tasting menu; however Melissa - is exceptionally knowledgable & will guide you at every step of the way.
Furthermore listed on their menu is a corkage fee of €8. Despite watching their tasting menu change every few days I was informed the price is actually €12 & for some reason they cannot edit that part.
For a fine dining restaurant; I really disliked that the menu's were a small plastic QR square & not a physical hard copy. Furthermore it bewildered me I had to physically ask for my cava & champagne to be served in a flute instead of a wine glass.
At the begining of my experience I was not amused to find my napkin already soiled with dirt.
Tasting Menu :
Amuse bouche - Salmorejo & A cherne pastel interesting pairing both tasty with wildly contrasting textures.
Oyster in carrot marinade - exceptional!!
Cerviche Gambon - nice flavours & zest but for such a high class place I was expecting large prawns not tiny shrimp.
Broken eggs - bland, basic & boring a poor dish.
Monkfish - beautiful dish.
Beef rib - succulent serving, meat melted away.
Mojito tex - a phenomenal hybrid of sobert & mousse to freshen the palate.
Cheesecake with bien masabe ice cream - absolutely divine.
Petit fois - homemade marshmellow, fabulous mini cookie, although the random Haribo candy spoiled the feel of this.
Despite listing dessert wines its a shame you are not able to have any by the glass to pair with the sweets & I had to revert back to a previous wine.
€55 for the tasting menu plus 3 white wines, 1 red, 1 cava, 1 champagne, bread & a baileys shot came to just €100.
Good value just not 5/5"

Restaurants in Tenerife
To fully grasp the potential of Canarian cuisine, book a table at this white-tablecloth standby that coaxes market ingredients—such as patudo (bigeye) tuna, black potatoes, and local heirloom tomatoes—into flawless, modern preparations like tataki (lightly seared), ensaladilla rusa (salade Olivier), and vinaigrette, respectively. The prix-fixe lunch and more elaborate menú de degustación (tasting menu) are fantastic values, as are the bottles of Tenerife wine.
