What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners praise El Fogón Sefardí for its unique fusion of Sephardic and Castilian cuisine, often highlighting the excellent value of the tasting menus and the charming historic atmosphere. While many enjoy the flavors and the ambiance, some reviews mention issues with food temperature consistency and occasionally slow service.
"Wonderful restaurant just inside Jewish quarter in Segovia. Enjoyed the lunch tasting menu. Food was delicious and service was fantastic."

"Expected much more from this extremely disappointing restaurant. We went because others rated it so highly, but as some have pointed out, it was virtually empty, all our plates were chipped, service was pretty slow and poor (they brought the wrong dish), and above all the cuisine simply doesn’t pass muster by any reasonable standard. The Pastel de pollo de corral was particularly bland dry, even tasteless. Sorry, but we just don’t understand all these enthusiastic reviews."
James Kippen
"Came for the €18.50 three course menu which also included red wine (about two glasses very drinkable), mineral water and bread. Food was superb, cooked to perfection. We had pork cheek and cod for mains. Both amazing for the price. Had to wait around for a few minutes in the bar to be served, but was worth it. Nicely air conditioned inside and historic interiors, nothing fancy but nice. Compared with prices elsewhere nearby this was great value and so tasty"
