Second on my list is Dos de Mayo – a grand establishment featured in Michelin guide, serving traditional Andalusian-style tapas in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. But after a few rounds of tapas from bacalao (cod), mini octopus (pulpo), gambas, solomillo al whiskey (pork loin in whiskey sauce – a “must-try de Sevilla”), some vegetable and those-I-cannot-recall-anymore dishes, shared with another guest from the hostel, I was happy as a clam.

Dos de Mayo is my favorite place to go for very traditional Spanish food. The thing that sets this place apart from the rest is its lively atmosphere: the bartenders are loud and constantly cracking jokes, and if you make an impression, they'll remember your name every time you come back. There are no waiters here; the bartenders call your name when your food is ready to be picked up.

Bodega Dos de Mayo is another popular tapas restaurant in Seville, this time in the San Lorenzo neighborhood. This isn’t a spot you would normally wander by but we had some of our best nibbles at this classic tapas bar. It has a huge seating area out in a public square which was already full at 1pm, so we took a table inside. The locals know what’s up.

If you can overlook the laminated menus, this place is a treat. Situated on the pretty chequerboard that is Plaza de la Gavidia, its kitchen serves all of the classically Andalusian tapas dishes as well as a handful of more exotic temptations.

Bodega Dos de Mayois one of the most affordable classic sit-down options on this list. The average tapas dish here is under €3, and there are plenty of unique local dishes to check out, including salmorejo, a cold tomato soup.

This place will really impress you not only with a very delicious and traditional food, but its atmosphere is nice and the bartenders are really funny. Also, you should definitely try their beerCruzcampo!
