Reviews Summary
FREIDURÍA LA ISLA is celebrated for its authentic and delicious fried seafood, served in a casual, family-run atmosphere. Diners rave about the freshness and quality of the fish, with highlights like Adobo and Frito Variado frequently mentioned. While the ambiance is unpretentious, the value for money and friendly service make it a beloved spot.
"We tried the fried fish with marinade. It was very very good. I definitely recommend it. One portion can be enough for 2 people."

"Don’t skip the tomato salad! Large portions, fried well and great service. Walked by a large line for this place in the evening & made a note to come back the next day for lunch.
I felt bad asking for mayonnaise for the anchovies but they did not bat an eye and handed me several packets. I regret not ordering the frito variado (mixed fried fish) to have a little more variety as it was a LOT of anchovies (but delicious). There was a flat pancake like dish that the other tables had ordered from the counter which was not on the menu and apparently it is quite good."

"Wow! This place is an absolute gem- friendly staff, delicious food. Unpretentious and amazingly fresh scran.
Adobo and the veggies were my favourite. Prawns also excellent. Got 400g of various fish and veg, crisps, wine and soft drinks for 28 euro.
Cracking dinner."

Freiduria La Isla is a beautiful choice for Seville’s best pescatarian guide. This restaurant is only a few paces away if you are near the Catedral de Sevilla and is perfect for a snack or a full meal. Once you have tried the fish, you will be tempted to go back multiple times during your trip.
A food tour in Seville with Devour tours
Our fifth meal of the day was to be at Freiduría La Isla, a fried food shop that is something of an institution in Seville. Here we dined on fried vinegar and cumin-marinated dogfish (also known as a sand shark) and paired it with a light glass of Spanish Manzanilla (chamomile) sherry.

Seville is famous for fried fish, and my favorite comes from La Isla. Family-run since 1938, they get their seasoning and marinades right. They also do delicious calamares del campo.
