Virgen Coffee

If you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix after visiting Las Setas, Seville’s massive mushroom-shaped wooden structure completed in 2011, drop in to Virgen Coffee, a takeaway stand located in the Plaza de la Encarnacion. Operated by its owner Pedro Sierra Pradas since April of 2015, Virgen is one of few coffee shops in Seville that roasts, brews, and sells their own in-house beans. Virgen’s bright yellow color scheme makes it easily recognizable when strolling through the plaza—and their yellow bags of coffee can add a splash of color for a home barista setup.

The coffee scenes is not a big deal in Seville yet, so anyone craving a really good latte goes to Virgin. It takes some searching and waiting, but then you will score the best one here coffee Milky of the city. The tiny business only offers space for two inside caffeine addicts, so go for one takeaway and walk two steps to Metropol Parasol, where you can enjoy your cup of coffee and this architectural masterpiece in the sun.

Virgen Coffee is an excellent spot for coffee enthusiasts when visting Seville. Opened in 2015, Virgen Coffee was one of the first ‘speciality coffee’ cafes, offering second-wave modern coffee. Their menu offers a variety of coffee options, from the classic espresso to more contemporary styles such as the flat white and macchiato.

Ok, Spain isn’t exactly known for its coffee but you can get a standard coffee in just about any bar. However, if you have to search a little harder to find specialty coffee in Seville. This tiny takeaway coffee shop not only serves up about every kind of coffee drink you can think of but they also roast their own beans on-site.

I just have to give this place a notable mention – it’s my absolute favourite place in Seville to get coffee on the go. Even though this hole-in-the-wall-style cafe doesn’t serve food, they are hands down the best cafe in Seville. 😋 They offer a fairly limited range of coffees – but who needs quantity when you’ve got quality?

This tiny café/microroaster was the first of its kind when it opened in Seville in 2015. Run by pioneer Pedro, it roasts 6 different types of specialty coffees sourced from around the world. Find it right near the Metropol Parasol (Las Setas de Sevilla).

Some of the best local restaurants in Seville where locals dine are La Chalá for its fusion tapas with international flavors, Confitería la Campana for traditional pastries and coffee, and Casa Robles for refined Andalusian cuisine.

Virgin Coffee is situated slightly north of Seville’s centre, right by Las Setas de Sevilla. They serve 100% Arabic coffee which you can takeaway as a cup to drink or a bag of beans. They also have tea and cakes to go.

I have two favorite spots, you’ll often find me at Virgen Coffee, home to the town’s best flat white, and Un Gato en Bicicleta, a place where I can’t get enough of their artsy interior design.

While establishments like Virgen Coffee and MUY Coffee have introduced specialty beans and modern techniques, the essence remains unchanged: quality coffee experienced unhurriedly.

Behind Seville’s famous Setas, Virgen Coffee started in 2015 thanks to Pedro Sierra Pradas, who swapped engineering for crafting coffee.
