Reviews Summary

La Nansa is praised for its authentic Catalan cuisine, especially its fresh seafood dishes and traditional 'menu del dia', complemented by attentive, family-friendly service. While many rave about the quality and value, some diners have noted disappointing paella preparations and one reviewer reported an unpleasant cockroach encounter, though most reviews highlight a positive and historic dining experience.

"Such a discovery! Great catalan restaurant in the heart of Sitges! Highly recommended! Although the working time shown not correctly - read the information on the window of the restaurant!"

Dmytro Lopatkin

"Another incredible meal and experience at La Nansa. The restaurant drips with tradition, professionalism and class. Everything perfectly cooked, and they handle GF needs with aplomb. Thank you."

Robert Conway

"Old school Sitges or at least has the look. Ordered menu del dia. The salad with tuna was excellent. The seafood paella was paella rice, disappointing. Two mussels and a small shrimp. Dessert choices lack diversity. And not an inexpensive place."

The ME Guide to Sitges

His clear excitement about the arròs a la sitgetana at La Nansa was the only endorsement I needed to make a reservation. Sitgetana (Sitges-style) rice is made with pork ribs, sausage, prawns, langoustines, cuttlefish, and clams, and is a local favourite. In my chat with Xavi Gazquez, La Nansa, with its traditional mariner decor, was also at the top of his list for rice.

We should definitely try the Frutti di mare in places like the La Nansa and the El Trull. They serve very good-quality, fresh fish. The so-called xató is a unique dish made with endivia, codfish, tuna, anchovy and olives, and served with Romesco Sauce.
