What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Salseta is lauded for its exceptional food quality, utilizing fresh local ingredients and offering unique Catalan dishes like octopus and paella. Diners praise the charming ambiance and professional, friendly service, noting the fair price-quality ratio. However, some reviews mention the restaurant can be noisy, and a few guests have found the prices to be high for the portion sizes and overall experience.
"This restaurant offers very delicious Spanish food and a big variety of local wines. The service is very friendly and helped us decide what to eat and drink. We ordered paella for four persons, and everyone was pleased with this delicious Spanish dish. We also had a bottle of local produced red wine, which was a very good choice and matched with paella. I would highly recommend you visit this place."

The center invites tastings of Malvasia de Sitges wine, which compares to sherry, or you can taste it in restaurants like La Salseta, specializing in Garraf regional cuisine. Wine tourism is growing in Catalonia, especially for vineyard tours and tastings across the verdant Penedès wine region, where in addition to cava and still red and white wines, you’ll enjoy Corpinnat, Spain’s organic, hand-harvested rival to Champagne.

La Salseta is a family-run restaurant offering delightful Catalan cuisine. The restaurant owners take special care of sourcing ingredients from small local producers. Traditional dishes found on the menu include octopus with white beans, ham, and cocas – a pastry delicacy made of courgettes, tomatoes, sausage, and black pudding.
Sitges in Winter
We ended up eating at the Restaurant La Salseta which is a mid-priced restaurant serving both vegetarian and non-veg options. There were about 8 vegetarian/meat free dishes to choose from and although it wasn’t cheap the food was very good and I’d definitely eat there again. Lunch worked out at €25 per person including wine.

But Russian restaurants in Sitges, apparently, did not take root. At least, the city's tourists don't remember them.
