What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hermans is celebrated for its stunning waterfront views and a remarkably diverse and delicious all-you-can-eat vegan buffet that impresses even non-vegans. While many praise the fresh, flavorful food and pleasant, colorful ambiance, some reviewers note that the price has increased over time, with past experiences offering more value for money.
"This is a (visually) hidden gem.
It has a spectacular view and an impressively tasteful array of options. I visited around 4 with a humble amount of people but once it hit about 6 the place got slammed with huge groups coming for dinner. Definitely recommend for singles, couples, families, and friends!"

"This is a fantastic spot for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, the food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet, so you’ll find a wide variety of greens, salads, and hearty vegetarian dishes that are more than enough to fill you up.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and that might be the best part because you get an amazing view of Gamla Stan and Djurgården while you eat. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy your meal and company with a scenic backdrop.
If you’re a student, be sure to bring your student ID for a significant discount."

"I went to Hermans for lunch two days in a row on my recent trip to Stockholm, as I loved it so much. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to me a solo diner.
The buffet consisted of a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, and was beautifully presented - it was clear that a lot of love and care had gone into making it. My favourite dishes were the coleslaw, lasagne, houmous, lentil curry, yellow rice, mustard potatoes, 'cheddar' spread, pesto sauce, orzo salad and taco salad.
For the amount of choice and the quality of the food, I thought it was very good value - it only cost slightly more than what you'd pay for just one dish in the UK. You definitely won't leave hungry, but also won't feel unwell afterwards, as nothing is heavy or greasy. I've been trying to copy some of the dishes at home, but they haven't been as good as at Hermans, so I hope they release a recipe book!"

Best Restaurants and Cafes in Stockholm
When one of my friends who joined the trip was vegan, I thought our options would be limited, but we concluded that Sweden is one of the best places for vegans to live, starting with Hermans Restaurant. I came across it in a list of budget vegetarian restaurants, and while it wasn’t very budget-friendly for us, the unlimited open buffet meals, unlimited tea/coffee offerings after the meal, the delicious mezze/salad and vegetable lasagna, and the wonderful view made us forget about the slightly high budget. We have variations of hummus in my country yet I’ve never had hummus like this before.
