"We finally found a 5 star restaurant in Basel that blew us away albeit at a cost. It was our last night in the city and we were getting worried we would not find something to stand out but Aroma stepped up and knocked it out of the park for us. The food is properly authentic and absolutely delicious. The guanciale in the carbonara for example was so well prepared that it was crunchy on the first bite and then immediately melts in your mouth with an explosion of porky delight. We have been to restaurants in Rome itself with worse food that we had here so we can't recommend it enough. Special thanks to Stefania who was an excellent host and made the evening even more memorable."
