What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners praise Eat Me for its innovative concept of global small plates and creative cocktails, often highlighting the beautiful presentation and delicious flavors. However, some reviews point to slow service and high prices for the portion sizes, particularly for larger groups, which can detract from the overall dining experience.
"Eat Me Restaurant in Lausanne is an absolute gem! The food was incredibly delicious, and every bite was pure enjoyment. The menu offers a fantastic selection of small plates, each prepared with great attention to detail – real showstoppers! The atmosphere was equally inviting, and the presentation of the dishes was simply beautiful. A must-visit for anyone who loves to experience culinary adventures. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!"

"Eat Me: Vibrant Vibes and Innovative Bites, But Let Down by Slow Service
Eat Me is a bustling and vibrant spot, perfect for after-work drinks paired with creative small plates. The setting is beautiful, lively, and full of energy—an ideal place to unwind and socialize.
The cocktails were a highlight—skillfully crafted, varied, and well-balanced. The small bites were equally impressive, showing a clear level of culinary creativity and quality. Standouts included the Indian-style octopus and the lamb dish, both full of flavor and originality.
However, despite the high quality, we felt the pricing was steep for the portion sizes and overall offering. What really impacted our experience, though, was the unacceptably slow service. At a table of eight people, ordering two dishes each, the plates were brought out one or two at a time every 20 minutes—making the meal feel disjointed and frustrating. This was especially disappointing considering it was a Thursday night with only around 20–30 guests in a venue that could easily accommodate 150–200 people.
In summary, Eat Me delivers in terms of ambiance, drinks, and food creativity, but the value and service execution need serious improvement to match the hype and pricing."

"Amazing experience. I have to admit we were a bit of a pain bc we didn’t like outside seating due to rain, then got sat next to a loud kid, but the manager was super accommodating and found us a nice seat of up front that was super comfortable and we could talk. The food was top notch and fit the American pallet very well. If you are traveling from oversees you are 100% going to want to check this place out. Cocktails were also very top notch and enjoyed the Chardonnay. Not too sweet, with an oaky flavor. Really enjoyed it. They were also able to accommodate my wife who is pregnant and also gluten free."

The concept behind Eat Me derives from a love of international cuisine born out of the insatiable desire to travel held by founders Serena Shamash and Mark Brownwell. Just as one retains memories and photographs of one’s travels, Shamash and Brownwell wished to introduce the idea of ‘food souvenirs,’ creating a venue that would allow diners to experience a range of different cuisines from across the globe. The dinner menu promises ‘the world on small plates’.
Bar Lausanne – Drinking guide
This cocktail bar and tapas restaurant takes inspiration from all over the world to produce an intriguing menu with diverse flavours. Your culinary road-trip could include Japanese tuna sashimi, Jamaican jerk chicken, Vietnamese spring rolls or Tunisian-style salad – choose carefully, lest you arrive at a palate-confusing combination. Plates are small, so you need multiples to make a decent-sized dinner (this is no cheap night out), but the quality is high.

Food Experiences & Restaurants in Lausanne
This restaurant is one of those fancy restaurants that relies heavily on its reputation and less on the actual service it provides. Having said that, the food more than makes up for the icy reception we received from the Maitre D’/restaurant manager. The “concept” of the place is like international tapas.
