The ambience and decor makes the place feels grand but casual.

"We had a great experience here! The location is fantastic because it is right on the water with a great view of the bridge. The service was very nice and fast. The food was also very good. We ordered the roasted chicken and the original bratwurst with potatoes and both were super tasty! I think the best part about the meal was that they seated us on a large round table with a few other gentlemen and we made some great friends and got great recommendations for our time here in Luzern. We ought to join tables more in the states, it was lovely to meet new people over a meal."

Rathaus Brauerei (Lucerne) – even though we had just left Germany, Ronnie was still craving German food so we checked out this restaurant which is also a brewery. The meal was fantastic – we started with a pretzel and cheese, then I had the fish which was very good. Cool ambiance with lots of outdoor seating as well.

The Rathaus Brauerei is also a good choice, although I just checked their latest menu and seems like the Älplermagronen is no longer on the menu - a shame, because it was really good and better value. You could double check. I think Pfistern along the river nearby also has Älplermagronen on the menu.
