Reviews Summary

Swiss Chuchi is highly praised for its authentic and delicious cheese fondue and other traditional Swiss dishes. Diners consistently commend the warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly and helpful service. While many consider it a must-visit in Zurich, some note that reservations are essential due to its popularity, and at times, queues can be long.

"The cheese fondue is absolutely excellent—rich, flavorful, and a real treat. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, guiding us through the best way to enjoy it, which made the experience even better. The chicken breast was perfectly tender, and the sauce that came with it was simply to die for. A wonderful dining experience overall—we’ll definitely be back!"

"Lovely atmosphere and great service! I come to this restaurant twice in a row!

Highly recommend their onion soup it’s so delicious and surprisingly the textured is so nice! And of course coffee with bailey and whipped cream if you’re a coffee drinker there is a little bit tingly of alcohol but warm☕️ also I came here by myself but I would love to try the cheese fondue and I had them here (better for sharing!) you definitely need to try the cheese fondue here in Zurich!
Belay, a guy who works here taking care of me so well during my meal and also very polite, funny and kind. There is a selection of wines and liquor here to choose from if you like to chill and drink.

Would definitely recommend this place!"

Restaurants in Zürich

Right on the Niederdorf's main square, Hirschenplatz, this squeaky-clean Swiss-kitsch restaurant has an airy, modern decor, with Alpine-rustic chairs. It serves good home-cooked national specialties: Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, Rösti, Leberli, bratwurst, schnitzel, and battered fish with French fries and tartar sauce—the gang's all here. An added attraction if you're visiting in summer: fondue and raclette (melted cheese served with small potatoes in their skins, pickled pearl onions, and gherkins), usually winter dishes, are served year-round.

Though a favored spot with tourists, Restaurant Swiss Chuchi’s Swiss fondue, raclette and rösti specialties are agreed to be unbeatable among locals as well. Almost as unbeatable as the restaurant’s location in Niederdorf pedestrian area, part of the Hotel Adler; therefore, it is an ideal venue during a visit to the old city or during a relaxing dinner with some people watching. The name Swiss Chuchi comes from a well-known Swiss German tongue-twister Chuchichäschtli, in which chuchi stands for cuisine.
