What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners rave about You Sushi for its authentic omakase experience, high-quality, incredibly fresh seafood, and reasonable prices, especially for lunch. The intimate setting and engaging chefs enhance the dining experience, though some mention the rapid pace of service and smaller portion sizes as minor drawbacks. Overall, it's highly recommended for an excellent value sushi experience in Taipei.
"The seafood very fresh. Everything was tasty. The halibut is a must order. The sea urchin was sweet and creamy. It just melted in my mouth. A reservation is a must, and was told to go for lunch because it's cheaper compared to dinner. Overall, it was a great dining experience."

"I recently enjoyed the 7-piece sushi lunch set, and all the sushi was delicious! We also added a scallop sushi piece, which tasted okay but felt a bit pricey. The service was excellent. I recommend making a reservation before you go, as it can get busy. Overall, a great experience!"

"A casual omakase sushi joint which Iocals would say cp指超高
The hand roll with crisps is exceptionally unique! All tasted good except for the basic miso soup n bland dessert which is basically just ice 😅
Downside is a bit too pressing .. the chef served so quickly one dish after the other.. I haven’t even finished my sushi, next is served 😵💫 And I haven’t even finished my soup n the dessert is here 趕場嗎🫠 But the food is the saving grace!
For their food quality, the price is very reasonable! I would definitely go back again.!

The Search for Taipei’s Best Affordable Sushi and Sashimi
If you want an omakase-like experience without the high price tag, the popular You Sushi’s business lunch special at NT$450 (plus a 10% service charge) is a steal. The place is packed with customers, so booking online about a week in advance is advisable. Beyond the freshness and surprise of what will be presented to you, the real treat is watching the chefs at work while chatting with them about their craft.

Do you want something that’s a little higher quality and more intimate atmosphere, but not crazy expensive like the Michelin places?. I recommend Yóu Sushi (游壽司麗水店) in Yongkang Street area. This is a small omakase-style sushi bar, meaning the chef will choose a selection for you.
