A Mediterranean and Turkish haunt, Efe has been doling out some of the island’s tastiest respite from Thai food for years. While neither cuisine is known for being overwhelmingly vegetarian, Efe has spun up excellent variations like its vegetarian kebab, playful falafel dishes, vegan spinach pizza, and tons of appetizers.

You’ll also find a few little halal food stands and vendors with wheeled carts making Southern-style sweet roti (pancake) with banana.

This Mediterranean gem is quickly becoming the restaurant of choice for ex-pats and travelers alike thanks to its traditional Turkish delights such as homemade tzatziki sauce with fresh bread, sizzling platters, kebabs, and wraps. This small, cozy restaurant can be found in Tonsai Village and the opening hours are 12:00 pm until 10:30 pm. Seating is limited so get there early to avoid the queue.

Efe Mediterranean Cuisine Restaurant is our second favorite on Koh Phi Phi. Their focus is on Mediterranean, as the name suggests, particularly Turkish, and the menu also has a Middle Eastern flair, as does the welcoming entrance to the restaurant!. Customers rave about the food being very tasty, fresh and quick to be served, with many different dishes getting positive reviews.

Efe Mediterranean Cuisine Restaurant specializes in Turkish cuisine, so expect dishes like beyti kebab, yogurt kebab, lamb kavurma, etc. Aside from that, their massive menu includes numerous Mediterranean dishes, so there are a lot of food options. Their best sellers include hummus, falafel wrap, fajita, and beyti kebab.
