"not worth the hype. trust me the line for this place would approximate take 45 mins to 1 hr. i would justify paying 500thb for a pad krapao because its 1 michelin star. but other than that, the food didnt blow my mind so much.
my experience was not good either. i have an orange juice bought right next door because waiting and standing under a hot sun was too suffocating and i needed a quench after walking for half a day.
when i went inside and sat down, she scolded me for bringing the drink in. im not even drinking! the other tables were looking at me. i feel so small and shy. i didnt even know that time that it was not allowed. i asked her if i can keep it in my bag and she said no! and she directly put it in the corner, an area where she made sure i couldn’t reach.
she handed me the sign of “no drinks allowed” and flip it infront of me, i understand that they dont allow outside drinks but how the old lady staff handle it was so rude. i understand your english might not be good but atleast you can say in a nice composed way not shouting.

Chef Jay Fai was mesmerizing to watch as she skillfully and passionately cooked each dish. I have always wanted to come here, and so glad we did upon hearing news that she will be retiring soon.
We got the crab omelette and drunken noodles. Clean and fresh ingredients and flavours, it was a joy to be there watching her. I love and miss crab omelettes and can't wait to come back. Crab omelette was 1500 bhat when we visited Feb 2025 ($62.79 Canadian) steep for sure,, but like myself, people come here knowing they will spend.
